THE MOVIE TICKET

In the words of Federico Fellini, talking about dreams is like talking about movies, since the cinema uses the language of dreams; years can pass in a second and you can hop from one place to another. It's a language made of image. And in the real cinema, every object and every light mean something, as in a dream.

Very true, Cinema has been the strongest medium to reach out to various destinations in just a couple of hours. When you watch a movie, your brain stimulates with infinites thought and possibilities. Sometimes you relate to a particular scene or a movie. The after effects are such that for months and years that movie impact your life.

I clearly remember about Professor Sid story,

In the early 60s, he was doing his research work in a famous college of the town Maulichz. A very studious person, Sid was determined and clearly knew, what he exactly wanted from life. One fine day, his group of friends decided to watch a new movie released in the famous theatre of the town. At the entrance sidh were waiting for his friends and there he watched Clara, beautiful girl coming towards the theatre. Clara was wearing white glossy top and scintillating golden brown trouser. The moment he saw her he was really impressed by her. His eyes were not still and constantly looking at Clara. She saw him and accept his expression. At the ticket counter Clara friend told her, the house is full and they have to go back. Sid listened this conversation and boy! And in a no time struck conversation with them. Hey miss! Would you like to buy tickets from me? Actually. I was waiting for my friend. but he didn't turn up. I guess we will not make it. Clara thanked him and bought tickets. Sid did not want to take the money, but he was just a stranger to Clara. Yes, for this scene, he was teased by his friends later.

 It was love at first sight. Sid was deeply in love with Clara. After that day, every day he used to sit near his telephone for hours hoping Clara will call. Yes, he left his phone number and a small note on the movie ticket, saying "Want to Know You More."

Days passed. Sid was not accepting the fact that Clara is not calling. Did she flip the ticket? Did She not read the note yet? All those questions were making him restless. After seven days he decided to go to the theatre hoping to see Clara. He waited there for long but could not find her. Sad and disappointed he reached home. That night he was sleepless and were constantly thinking about Clara.

The next day Sid was standing in the neighbourhood bus stop. The weather was lovely and Sid already fell in love with Clara. Suddenly he saw Clara walked in with her friend. Both were standing at the bus stop. In between them some school girls were also waiting for the bus. Sid set his eyes on her, Clara after a while saw him. OMG Sid heart fluttered and was nervous and excited at the same time. The morning breeze flowing was so soothing with numerous questions in his mind. They got into the bus. Sid sat at the rear side and Clara near the aisle. He was constantly gazing at her and asking God, " If this is the girl in my life than O lord! Show me the right way. 

Eyes closed and fingers crossed, he suddenly felt a soft touch on his hands and saw one of the school girls gave him some paper. When he saw it properly, it was the same movie ticket answered by Clara, 

"Cafe Brewster @7pm". Sid was thrilled and his heart was out of his chest. Finally, she answered and above all she wanted to meet. For a long time, Sid was kissing the movie ticket. He had never experienced such happiness in his life over a long period of time.

Soon their meetings began. Love, affection and passion came at the right time. They started to enjoy every moment possible after love comes into their life. Happily married for over 10 years, both were preparing for their 11th marriage anniversary evening.

Clare knew, it would be the evening at their regular restaurant followed by ball dance. She was set and prepared.

What comes after was a delightful surprise to Clara. Sid called her  and said, " Darling all things are as per schedule, the only change is, instead from home, I shall pick you up at the movie theatre where we first met.

Clara said, ok will see you there. The time comes. Sid reached there on time and like before, was searching Clara, she too pretended to meet Sid for the first time. Both reached at the same spot. Sid kissed his wife and gave her one diary in which all the movie tickets were pasted, yes, all movie tickets for the last 10 years which they saw together.

There was one note written to his wife:

" Thank you,Clara, for being in my life and making me more lovable and more responsible. Your love for movies is the reason, why we are together. This place is special and all those hours spent with you in the hall taught me how to desire and dream. Remember our first kiss honey? It was heavenly. All the secrets that slept deep within my soul came awake, everything was important thereafter, everything made sense."
